MetricBridge answers questions about your Apple Health data on your iPhone, and can hand that data to your own AI agents over MCP, privately, read-only, with no accounts. Most questions are answered below; if you're still stuck, email us.
Getting started
1. Install the app and grant Apple Health (read-only). Turn on export, and your metrics are written privately to your iCloud Drive.
2. Install the extension in your agent (Claude Desktop, opencode, Cursor, …). The bundled MCP server reads your iCloud Drive folder. No bridge, no servers.
Ask and the Weekly Brief
- Where does the answer come from? The statistics are computed on your iPhone from your own Apple Health data. Tap the provenance strip under any answer to see the exact metric, date range and sample count it was built from.
- Why did it decline to answer? Ask covers your own data and how it deviates from your personal baseline. It will not interpret symptoms or answer diagnostic questions. That is deliberate. It is wellness information, not medical advice.
- My Weekly Brief hasn't arrived. It is generated on device and delivered when your iPhone next has a chance to run it. Open the app and it will generate the current one rather than show you a stale week.
Common questions
My agent shows no data. Confirm export is on in the app and that iCloud Drive has finished
syncing, then check the extension points at
~/Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~ai~healthexport~app/Documents.
Is my data private? Yes: it stays in your own iCloud Drive and is read only by the local MCP server you install. It never reaches the developer's servers. See the Privacy Policy.
Does it change my Apple Health data? No. The app is strictly read-only and never writes to Apple Health.
How do I stop exporting? Turn off export in the app, revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings, or delete the app to remove all local data.
